Senior Vice President and Chief Managed Care Officer
Brent Estes is the Senior Vice President and Chief Managed Care Officer of the Mount Sinai Health System. In this role, Brent provides overall executive oversight for administrative, contracting, and financial performance of value-based, risk, and fee-for-service contracts. He works with the Health System finance team to drive the system’s overall revenue strategy, with Population Health leadership to shape the value-based agreement strategy and drive performance.
Most recently SVP, Business Development at Advocate Aurora Health, Brent led development of an integration plan to drive system-wide care coordination and improve operating margin, as well as sponsored a joint venture with a national health insurer to deliver a high-performance network in multiple markets. Prior to that, Brent served as SVP of Business and Network Development for Rush University Medical Center. At Rush he designed and executed a multi-year payer contracting strategy, and transformed a physician-hospital organization operating model into one of the most mature clinically integrated networks in the nation.
Brent also has experience teaching at Rush University, College of Health Sciences, Department of Health Systems Management in Chicago, where he was a faculty member and instructor as well as a course director.
Brent is a member of a variety of professional organizations. He earned his degree from University of North Texas.
