Biography

Rommie Johnson is the Associate Program Director for the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and Office-Based Surgery (OBS) program at the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). In this role, he manages the strategic and programmatic direction for ASCs/OBSs organizations seeking accreditation and certification. Previously, Mr. Johnson serviced as the Associate Director, Business Development for the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program at The Joint Commission. In this role, he managed business development and strategic direction for the corporate segments within Ambulatory Care Services. His focus was on development of large Ambulatory Health Care practices, surgery management firms, and government-supported organizations. Mr. Johnson has also served as Manager of Accreditation Services at the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare (AAAHC), where he was a resource for standards interpretation and accreditation processes to surgery centers, primary care organizations, employer-based clinics, student health centers, community health centers, and military clinics. Mr. Johnson earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Sociology and Public Health (Epidemiology) respectively from Loyola University Chicago.
